The change in the management structure has been made by the firm to secure future growth and comes just a couple of weeks before the founder Eugene Kaspersky makes his annual trip over to the UK for the Information Security show.
"Kaspersky Lab is undergoing a restructure of its business to enable continued growth for the future. Further details on the restructure will be made available in due course. As part of this process, Malcolm Tuck has decided to pursue alternative opportunities outside of Kaspersky Lab UK," the firm stated.
"Further details will be made available over the coming weeks regarding who will head up the UK business. In the meantime, the business will continue to operate as usual," it added.
One source said that the UK management team had needed to work harder on getting market share in the face of tough competition and it was looking to get someone in the UK that was going to push harder on that front.
