Micro-P hires ex-Nimans man for telecoms push

Micro Peripherals has named Phil Adams, former Nimans sales director, to the post of head of communications, a newly-created role that forms part of the distributor's convergence strategy.

Adams, who spent six years at Nimans, brings over 35 years of industry experience to the role and will be tasked with joining up Micro-P's communications, networking and peripherals offering to bring a more coherent picture to its reseller base.

"Communications have experienced extreme shifts in their structures leading to the introduction of new technologies. When combined with the pace of technological innovation in the communication industries a new type of distribution is required," said Adams.

He added: "The appetite and drive to move forward in the telecoms space make Micro-P a serious contender to be [a] leading telecoms distributor within the next two years."
