Siemens Enterprise to ramp up indirect UC business

Alex Scroxton
Siemens Enterprise Communications (SEC) has pledged to focus more attention on unified comms dealers with the appointment of former HP distribution bigwig Marc Aghili as its new vice president of indirect channel sales and business development for EMEA.

Aghili, who will take up the post in mid-May, will take responsibility for indirect channel management, defining and implementing business development, demand generation, promotion campaigns and "optimisation" of SEC's two-tier channel.

"I look forward to bringing my experience in business development ... to help the company strive toward new goals, further grow and develop the UC market share in the indirect channel sector," said Aghili.

He will report to EMEA general manager Wolfram Fischer, also formerly with HP.

Aghili returns to the IT industry after a stint at Volkswagen and insurance company Assurant. During a 10-year spell at HP he helped establish product and service packages for the vendor's volume and value distribution partners.
