Unified comms and cloud reseller Intrinsic Technology has revealed plans to hire up to 30 new heads by the end of the year to support its growth targets and back the recent acquisition of VMware partner Dataplex.

Intrinsic bought into the desktop virtualisation market at the start of the year when it rescued  Dataplex from administration, and is now targeting an additional 40 per cent organic growth on top of the £10m the acquisition has added to its top line.

The firm added that it was expecting to acquire again in the near future to bolster its cloud and virtual desk infrastructure capabilities.

The new hires will work largely on the consultancy and engineering side of the business.

"Our latest recruitment drive is designed to ensure that we consistently surpass customer expectations in terms of solutions, their deployment, and on-going support and development," said Intrinsic boss Adam Jarvis.

For the fiscal year ended 30 November 2010 Intrinsic grew sales 35 per cent to £28m, while operating profits more than doubled to £2.5m.
