OKI creates channel role for managed print push

Alex Scroxton

OKI Printing Solutions has promoted its channel sales manager, Tressa Whitby, to the newly-created role of head of reseller sales for the UK, as part of a ground-up rebuild of the firm's managed print services (MPS) product lines.

Whitby has been charged with bringing together OKI's Executive Series and traditional IT reseller teams under one point of control, and will focus on driving value add into the channel either through MPS or app-led sales.

"Over the past few years the emergence of MPS has brought the two channels closer together," said Whitby.

"The new structure will drive efficiencies for OKI and will also allow us to provide our resellers with greater flexibility to sell a broader range of products to a wider array of customers."

Whitby joined OKI in 1996 as an account manager for hardware distribution, but has experience of both the distribution and reseller channels from the other side of the fence, having worked for Northamber and a network support reseller.

She reports to Nick Munton, who joined the firm from Konica Minolta just before Christmas.
