Barely two months after it bought defunct system builder PARS Technology out of administration, education reseller NS Optimum has flown to the rescue of a second struggling firm, buying the trade and assets of A2Z Computer Products Ltd from liquidators Baker Tilley.
Leicestershire-based A2Z has over 15 years experience in supplying, installing, maintaining and supporting hardware, software and service products in the education sector.
NS Optimum pledged to provide service continuity and warranty support provided certain criteria were met and said it would be contacting A2Z customers to discuss their options.
In the wake of its second acquisition this year, NS Optimum's management said that it hoped to make further niche market purchases in a buy-and-build strategy targeted firmly at the education market.
"This acquisition is another example of the commitment by NS Optimum to the education sector," said managing director Andrew Rutley.
"Both PARS and A2Z had loyal customer bases, and NS Optimum is in an excellent position to continue to support those customers," he added.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
