Managed support services provider Intact Integrated Services has appointed its vice president of service operations Alan Pett to the role of UK managing director.

A 20-year industry veteran, Pett, who started his services career in an account liaison role at Siemens Network Systems, spent three years at Intact's sister company Logicalis before helping set up Intact in 2004.

In his new role will drive the firm's UK development as well as its specialist PCI COMMS infrastructure services and cabling business.

"Alan's appointment is an important one as our UK operation acts as the central hub for our global services network, our advanced technology capability, as well as the company's international project management capabilities" said Intact CEO Bob Dalton.

"In developing our business internationally it's important that we retain a clear focus on our home market, and Alan's capabilities will ensure Intact retains its position as one of the idustry's strongest Cisco-focused engineering teams," he added.
