McAfee has taken the wraps off an SME specialisation for resellers in response to the growing need for dedicated support for that customer segment.
Up until now the vendor has based its partner accreditations around technology but the SME programme has been developed because of the growing requirement to ensure that those resellers selling to customer of 250 staff and below are able to deliver the best support.
The specialisation will be supported by a portal and a commitment to a four hour turnaround on special deal approvals as well as help with marketing and training.
David Small, vice president of channel and commercial business in EMEA, said that all of its existing partners were being given a VIP invitation to join the programme and it was also being made available through distributors.
"This is a market that we 100% rely on the channel partners and want to give them as much support as we possible can with four hour SLAs around deal registration," he said.
