Exclusive Networks Group has made a second major distribution acquisition in the UK, picking up security and storage specialist VADition.

The deal, which was struck for an undisclosed sum, follows on from Exclusive's acquisition of security and software distributor Arc Technology back in 2009.

VADition has been going for four years established by channel veterans Neil Ledger and Ian Morris building up a portfolio of vendors around the security sector with a particular angle on protecting the social media space.

Both Ledger and Morris will stay on board, becoming joint CEOs of Exclusive's UK operations, with its Hampshire offices now becoming the support and service centre for Europe.

In a joint statement the two said that the deal would help VADition grow even further, adding they were determined to meet the ambitious UK aspirations held by Exclusive.

"This is a strategic acquisition for us as we continue to bolster our UK presence and build out our European distribution network," said Olivier Breittmayer, CEO of Exclusive Networks.
