Nimans is expanding its data infrastructure division and moving to sell AV components for the first time as it looks for fresh areas of growth.

The distributor is starting to sell its own infrastructure products, including cat cables, cabinets and power distribution units, under its own Titan brand as well as adding in AV products like HDMI cabling.

Peter Owen has been appointed as data infrastructure business manager based in Manchester with the task of growing the revenues from the distributor's network infrastructure business.

"We will continue to work closely with big name brands as well as develop our own brand portfolio," said Owen.

"Data installation is one of Nimans' best kept secrets but that's about to change as we've got some aggressive plans to capture more market share over the next few years, based on combining new product developments with the highest levels of customer service," he added.
