TSG's latest deal follows on from, and is intended to complement, the April acquisition of Loughborough-based CRM and ERP VAR, Concentrix.

Rocket, which has been going since 2008, works with organisations across the north of England and has already built up a substantial customer base in the region, including Drax Power and Leeds Bradford Airport.

In a statement, TSG chief exec David Stonehouse described the acquisition as a "strategic step" in TSG's growth strategy.

"We have seen considerable growth in the demand for SharePoint and BI projects from our customer base over the last two years, and the wealth of skills which the Rocket team hold makes the business an excellent fit," he said.

TSG said the acquisition would see all Rocket staff move across, and has moved to reassure  customers that their services would continue without interruption.

It added that following its 25th acquisition in eight years, it plans to continue expanding through consolidation.
