Components distie Target has launched a collaborative business micro-site targeted at its resellers to providing advice, support and resources around the concept of building a better business.

The Yorkshire-based distributor said it had no intention of promoting products or attracting sponsorship through the 'Shop Talk' site, which is planned to be a community resource for resellers.

The site will host various resources for VARs such as a marketing ROI calculator, tips on beating large suppliers to contract wins, and a community forum.

"Runningt a small business can be fantastically rewarding but by nature of size there are unique challenges," said Target managing director Paul Cubbage. It's not easy to have all the skills and experience that you need in-house, and you don't always have people to bounce ideas off. Shop Talk aims to help with both."

"If each of our customers got only one useful idea from it that helps to improve their business, it can only be beneficial to Target as well," he added.
