Centrix Software looks for big increase in UK partner numbers

The company develops analytics and reporting software to assess IT landscapes and monitor, meter and manage internal and external service delivery in a mixed environment that helps customers with virtualisation and transforming their desktops or to optimise their assets.

Most of the company's existing partner base comes from the VMware and Citrix community using its products to deliver a virtualised environment. But vice president for worldwide sales and marketing Lewis Gee said the bulk of new recruits were likely to be Microsoft partners as Windows 7 migration prompts customers to look at virtualisation and asset rationalisation.

"We're starting to get a lot more interest from traditional Microsoft partners," he said, "more from an asset management perspective but there's also the new world of virtualisation."

Some larger system integrators are also starting to take an interest in the company's products and Gee said he was hoping to get some of them signed up although there were significant processes to go through to become "part of their solution stack".

Centrix is hoping to recruit up to 20 partners in the UK and around 10-15 in Germany where it recently launched.

The company has also released Centrix Workspace 5.1 which includes new reporting capabilities for monitoring service delivery in a Windows, cloud and virtual landscape.
