Trustmarque launches Office 365 education campaign

Microsoft partner Trustmarque Solutions has launched a campaign to address confusion among end-users around fundamental aspects of Microsoft's cloud-based Office 365 software suite.

Having identified that some customers are having difficulty understanding licensing procedures as well as how the technology actually works, the reseller has introduced the Cloud Readiness Assessment Programme as part of an attempt to clear up the confusion.

The programme, which will run until the end of September, has been designed to "cut through" the hype around Office 365 and cloud in general, according to Trustmarque Microsoft Alliance manager Tom Greed.

"This programme will help customers understand what Office 365 can deliver, the pros and cons, and whether it is right for their business," he said. "Our aim is to help our customers see what is most relevant for them."

The reseller has poured substantial amounts of money into its Microsoft busienss in the past twelve months, upping its headcount of Microsoft Certified Professionals and buying cloud services company Nimbus Technology Systems in May.

The firm's strategic sales and partner director Mark Penny said Trustmarque was planning to expand its Microsoft operation further by the end of the year.

"This year we passed 21 technical examinations and have a further 52 planned over the next 12 months in order to secure a further six competencies," he said. "We expect to have another three gold competencies by the end of the year."
