Business and creative software specialist Adobe is to formalise its channel engagement policy with the launch of a new multi-level channel programme called Partner Connection.
Following a successful trial in central Europe, the vendor will extend its new programme to the rest of the region from 3 October, although pre-registration for VARs opens this week.
The programme will consist of four levels, Registered, Certified, Gold and Platinum, with increasing levels of support and partner commitment at each stage.
Adobe will also be adding deal registration from the off, according to UK channel head Mat Shillum.
"This will pay up to 7% of the value of the order based on the recommended sale price, not the VAR's buy price through distribution," he told MicroScope.
Adobe has taken the step of cleaning up its channel relationships, which up to now have been conducted on a largely ad hoc basis, as part of a drive to increase its visibility within the channel and give resellers more reason to put effort into selling its kit.
Adobe distributor Computers Unlimited has already begun to ramp up its channel marketing activity around the new programme, and will be running reseller events towards the end of the month in London and the Midlands.
