Intrinsic beefs up Scottish office

Intrinsic Technology is moving its Scottish office into new premises in Glasgow after bursting the seams of its old base.

The Avaya, Cisco and HP reseller has bagged a number of significant contract wins in Scotland lately, and has appointed new network-centric project engineers and pre-sales talent to steer its growth plans.

Intrinsic said these appointments bolstered its existing team so that it could more effectively meet the needs of its Scottish clients.

John McGowan, who heads up the local operation, said he was targeting "strong and sustainable" growth in the region, although he conceded this was a challenge given current economic conditions.

"Delivering projects to merit this level of growth is a testament to the hard work of the entire team," he added.

Other channel players, including comms provider Daisy Group, are also ramping up their presence in Scotland as the realisation dawns on many firms that customers are increasingly keen to have their needs met locally.
