The battle for the mid market in the business intelligence space is expanding with resellers being given even greater choice of which vendor to partner with to deliver customers ERP tools.
Intact Software, a vendor with a former history of selling direct, is on the hunt for reseller partners as it looks to take on the likes of Microsoft, Sage and SAP in the mid-market arena.
The vendor has been transitioning to an indirect model over the past few years and already has a couple of partners in the UK but is on the hunt for more to take it up to a dozen to give itself good coverage in vertical markets.
Intact Software has carried out research with YouGov which indicates that mid-market customers feel they are not being well served by the existing options in the market .
Paul Dobbs, UK channel manager at Intact Software, said that it wanted to recruit resellers "based on vertical less than geography" and was prepared to offer a large amount of technical and marketing support to those that signed up.
Some of those resellers will be currently selling rival offerings and he said that it had already persuaded one to join up and would be revealing its identity soon.
