Former Sun Microsystems boss Jonathan Schwartz has been appointed to the board of directors at social specialist Moxie Software, which develops enterprise-centric social network software.

Schwartz famously announced his resignation from Sun in 2010 in the form of a haiku, has since been involved with management and recruitment software vendor Taleo and is CEO of start-up Picture of Health.

Moxie plans to use Schwartz's experience at the helm of a Fortune 200 firm to spearhead its own worldwide growth and "solidify our position in the social enterprise software market," said Moxie CEO Tom Kelly.

"The social enterprise software market is in its infancy, and will undoubtedly grow as companies embrace collaborative interactions with all their constituencies," said Schwartz.

"Moxie Software is well-positioned to lead the market as Spaces by Moxie combines the best of social networking technology with the security and scalability required by enterprises."
