Nebulas fires up simple security strategy with Zscaler signing

Network security and virtualisation reseller Nebulas has added cloud security specialist Zscaler to its Technology Incubator programme as part of a newly-launched Security Simplified strategy.

Zscaler provides a scalable, borderless global security cloud that it claims protects users regardless of their location or device, replacing centralised security appliances with a more cost-effective solution.

Nebulas managing director Nick Garlick said Zscaler's ability to integrate multiple advanced threat prevention solutions into a single offering was in line with what his customers were looking for.

"We're seeong more organisations whose security infrastructures are no longer capable of dealing with today's dynamic, sophisticated and targeted attacks. Added to this many organisations have built up multiple layers of defences over the years that have become too costly and complex to manage," he explained.

"As a result they are re-thinking their approach and moving to a more consolidated simple and cost-effective security strategy. Customers increasingly want new ways to improve their security by simplifying it rather than adding more technology," added Garlick.

The new strategy has been designed to tie together recent advances in automation and cloud technology, and has involved a rebranding effort and website redesign to reflect Nebulas' changing offering.
