Widget managing director Jo-Anne Foreman is heading to Computer 2000 as director of its TDConsumer Electronics division after a three year stint at the helm of the consumer distributor.

Foreman will take up the new role next month, reporting to C2000 commercial director David Watts, and will take on responsibility for driving development of its nascent consumer electronics business.

"The establishment of our Retail and Consumer Electronics division is an important strategic investment for our business and we are delighted [to] have found someone with the calibre and experience that Jo-Anne has to spearhead its continued growth and development," said Watts.

At the same time Widget, which specialises in retail distribution for vendors such as TomTom and Cisco, has welcomed back its former commercial director David Elder to fill the resulting vacancy.

Elder left Widget in 2008, and has spent the intervening time as head of business development at smartphone peripherals specialist Proporta. He has also done time with wireless vendor DataWind and Psion.
