lewis_gee_highres.jpgTo take advantage of a ground swell towards virtualisation and desktop transformation as users move towards Windows 7 Centrix Software has expanded its distribution line-up.

The virtualisation specialist has added Specialist Distribution Group (SDG) to sell its products along with existing distie partner Arrow as it looks to widen its reseller base.

Having been named as one of the partners for Microsoft's Jump Start programme, encouraging user migration to Windows 7, the vendor is keen to work with more resellers with skills selling that operating system as well as virtualisation.

Lewis Gee, vice president of worldwide sales and marketing at Centrix Software (pictured), said that even with tough economic conditions the desire from users across private and public sector was to use technology that would help them save money.

He added that it would not extend its reseller base too widely but already had some additional signings in mind, which will be accelerated by the SDG appointment.

"SDG does work with a number of partners we are targeting and keen to work with," he added "We don't want to go mad recruiting dealers but there are a large number of different partners from the standard virtualisation resellers and Microsoft partners doing migration."
