Perkins handed small business division role at Sage

Sage has made a raft of changes to its management team with former C2000 and Computacenter  man Lee Perkins taking the hot seat managing the vendor's small business division.

Along with Perkins the accountancy and CRM software specialist has also unveiled new faces at the head of its mid market and accounts divisions.

Jayne Archbold becomes managing director of the mid-market division moving over from her role running the accounts division, which is now going to be headed up by Sage veteran Jim Scott.

Most in the channel will be familiar with Perkins who held a senior country management role at C2000 and he is being tasked with increasing the web and mobile functionality in the SME products as well as improving the services options for that market.

But a key ambition for the vendor is to increase its stake of the mid-market and Archbold will have the task of taking share in that competitive space and to work with resellers that are focusing on those customers.

"At Sage, we believe strongly in managing talent and developing great leaders across the business that inspire, motivate, lead by example and empower their teams to be the best they can be. Jayne, Jim and Lee's appointments represent the next generation of leadership for the UK business and mark an exciting new era for the company," said Sage CEO Brendan Flattery.
