Hurd back in spotlight after Fisher letter emerges

The reasons Mark Hurd was ousted from his position as CEO of Hewlett-Packard back in the summer of 2012 became a bit clearer over the New Year break with a letter that contained some serious allegations of misconduct becoming public.

Hurd, who is now at Oracle, left HP in August 2010 under a cloud connected to claims of sexual harassment with a contractor Jodie Fisher and the letter detailing the episode had been secret until last week.

But with details now coming out into the open it has put Hurd back in the headlines and the allegations that he used his expense account to woo Fisher will make uncomfortable reading for the senior IT executive.

The letter details activities by the former HP CEO that took place over a couple of years but was rebutted by Hurd's own legal team which claimed it was littered with inaccuracies.
