Progress Software has promised to rejuvenate its channel relationships as it looks to re-engage with the developer community.
The business intelligence specialist changed its UK management last summer and a few months on has revealed that it is looking to improve the way it works with partners.
Dan Veitkus, general manager EMEA at Progress Software, said that during a fairly extensive acquisition spree over the last few years the eye had been taken off the ball when it came to the way it interacted with the channel.
The vendor has around 500 partners across Europe, with 165 in the UK, with the majority adding their own programmes to the Progress software.
But it was now looking to work hard with its channel, which consists primarily of ISVs, to reward them for their loyalty and to introduce them to the expanded portfolio.
The vendor is holding a partner event in Spain in May and a separate event for its user group communities, taking steps to increase communication.
"The reaction from partners has been positive and its showing up in the results. It is not about recruiting new partners as much as working more closely with our existing channel base and to work with them even more," said Veitkus.
