Educational resellers urged to look beyond IWBs and projectors

Education specialist Turning Technologies has started a channel recruitment drive to encourage those selling whiteboards and projectors to extend the portfolio of products they offer schools and colleges.

The firm, which has set up in the UK recently and is building a staff here to serve the channel, specialises in response systems which are increasingly being used in education to gauge the reaction from students to key ideas and themes.

Gary Morrison, general manager EMEA, said that it was looking to build the channel and encourage those that already sold into education to widen the range of products they offer.

"The conversations [that resellers would have] are usually with the director of learning technologies, the people who signed off the purchases of interactive whiteboards and projector and they are embracing response systems because they a return on investment," he said.

He added that it was working with a distributor in the UK and was looking to expand its channel further.
