Colin Ball 1.jpgThe decision by Webroot to exit the email archiving market continues to spur activity by competitiors keen to pick up resellers and users that sold and used the product.

The move, which was made public last month, means that resellers that were selling the product will be left looking for alternatives when their contract runs out.

Mimecast has already touted itself as one option and now The Email Laundry has taken the step of recruiting former Webroot channel manager Colin Ball (pictured) to bring resellers on board.

The vendor has not only hired Ball but has launched a swap out service to make it straightforward for users to make a shift over to the product.

Ken Bagnall, CEO of The Email Laundry, said that it had already engaged with Webroot customers and was keen to step in to help those worried about the future.

"We give our channel partners a profitable solution which meets the needs of their customers whilst retaining good margins for themselves. Importantly during these economic times we offer monthly billing options for the reseller," he said.
