Cyberoam targets Sonicwall partners

Just a couple of days after Dell announced plans to buy Sonicwall the competition has moved to exploit customer and channel uncertainty over the potential implications of the tie-up.

First off the blocks is UTM specialist Cyberoam which has launched a trade-up programme for customers offering a free one year subscription on web content & application, IPS and anti-x for those that swap their Sonicwall products.

The vendor has set up a web page detailing the promotion making it clear that it is looking to take advantage of those Sonicwall partners and customers that might be having doubts following the Dell takeover announcement.

"Sonicwall's acquisition by Dell spells out turbulent times for Sonicwall's channel and end customer community. Cyberoam offers irresistible trade-in offers for Sonicwall partners and customers to relieve their anxiety about the times ahead," it stated.

For resellers that get on board the vendor is offering the same one year free subscriptions but also access to free training and certification programmes and access to cloud services for no additional costs.

The vendor is offering a financial reward for signing up as well claiming that it can be done in five steps.
