Trend Micro is prioritising the virtualisation security market as it looks to encourage resellers to target that side of the market.
The vendor is kicking off a three month long campaign at the start of next month to increase channel knowledge about security and virtualisation and is offering a range of incentives for those that seal deals.
Tim Ayling, the recently appointed UK director of channels and marketing at Trend Micro, said that the market was waking up to the need for virtualisation security and it was a key priority for the vendor this year.
"It is a big opportunity. Who is not doing some virtualisation? These days customers are looking at desktop virtualisation and that is a massive play for us," he said.
Trend is pushing its Deep Security product and the aim of the three month programme is not only to increase sales but to get the channel trained as well.
