Networking vendor D-Link is continuing with its mission to cuddle up to the UK channel with the launch of a new 'Value in Partnership' programme that puts the emphasis firmly on driving resellers into new markets.
D-Link is keen to get more of its networking partners into its storage and IP surveillance lines, according to UK and Ireland business solutions and marketing manager, Andrew Mulholland.
"To incentivise them to become storage and IP surveillance resellers there's an extra 5% rebate on sales of those products," he explained.
Mulholland said the new programme would also include a certain amount of flexibility designed to take the pressure off partners to jump through hoops with the ultimate aim of progressing to the highest tier of the programme if they felt it was not right for their business models.
The programme is the fruit of a joint collaboration project between the firm's European operation and its US counterpart, and includes elements of the existing American programme.
The new channel set-up will include more in-depth training and certification across its lines, as well as increased marketing support and MDF for Gold and Silver-level partners, and deal registration and lead management.
Public sector partners will also get specific perks through a new GovEd discount programme, providing upfront kit discounts.
A beefed up incentive programme will also see the introduction of a points-based system for partners to either accrue prizes for staff, get discounts on D-Link kit, or convert to hard cash via a Visa debit card.
