Veeam has taken the wraps off an aggressive promotion designed to help resellers prise users away from rival legacy backup products.
The virtualisation specialist is providing those customers that move away from their existing products with a 30% discount off the Veeam backup and replication alternative.
This is the first time the vendor has made this sort of targeted move and Ian Wells, director of Northern Europe at Veeam, said that there was a sizeable market of users sticking with legacy products that were failing to meet the needs of a virtualised environment.
"It makes the sales of a new product easier under the promo," he added "From a channel perspective there is a huge opportunity there."
