Cisco has expanded its cloud-based partner managed services offering, OnPlus, adding support for wireless network management tools, as part of a major refresh of its SME network solutions offering.

The move has been designed to help VARs leverage growth in SME demand for outsourced wireless services driven by the influx of Wi-Fi enabled smartphone and tablet devices into the workplace.

Cisco said the service would provide VARs with a "simple and affordable" way to deliver network assessment and management services. It has priced the service, which comes with a new network discovery and management device, the OnPlus ON100, at $250 for a three-year service subscription.

The launch has also seen Cisco add new wireless access point devices, Wireless-N VPN routing equipment, Small Business 500 Series stackable managed switches, as well as a new version of its UC320 Unified Communications system, IP phones, adapters and Wireless-N bridges.

Cisco senior vice president and general manager of small business, David Tucker, said the new lines would help resellers address the "proliferation of mobile devices and increased adoption of cloud applications and services."

"Having a secure and reliable network in place is business critical. The updated suite provides customers with highly secure, reliable network technologies that are easy to deploy and manage," he added.
