Computer 2000 has set out to get more resellers involved with the cloud after establishing a programme to help arm partners with the skills and knowledge needed to sell hosted solutions.
The distributor held a cloud discovery day event earlier this week explaining its plans to an audience of resellers with an ambition to get more of them making the transition to selling the technology.
Resellers have the options to become a cloud reseller, builder or provider under the C2000 programme with support around making the transition to a flexible payment business model coming from both the distributor and vendors, including Microsoft, Cisco, HP, Brocade and Symantec.
"The concept is one that takes the reseller as well as the customer on a journey," said Joel Chimoindes, who is heading the TD Cloud programme in the UK.
"End-user organisations will adopt cloud computing at different paces and in different ways and it will be just the same for resellers," he added.
A second discovery day event is taking place in the Sterling Conference Centre in Scotland on 19 June.
