News launches with security focus

IT search portal has officially launched using the Information Security show as the backdrop to announce the first services it will offer users looking to make informed choices about technology purchasing.

Plans to launch the service were announced at the start of the year and comparetheware will start by delivering information around security products before rolling out other sectors including virtualisation, VoIP, networking, storage and cloud services.

Businesses can go onto the site and search for technology and services based on certain key criteria and compare them before asking for quotes from resellers.

The site has got the backing of major vendors and sign-ups from channel partners ahead of launch to ensure there is a wide range of security options available for users to investigate.
