SDG adds Honeywell kit to IBM bundles

Alex Scroxton

SDG has announced a new distribution agreement with Honeywell that will see the Midlands-based distie sell scanning and mobility products through its Retail and Data Capture division.

The firm already does a healthy amount of business on IBM point-of-sale kit, and plans to include Honeywell scanning products in bundled IBM offerings pitched at verticals including retail, healthcare, transport and logistics.

Honeywell Scanning and Mobility Northern Europe territory director, Michael Prescott, said the firm had been looking to grow the market exposure of its products.

"SDG's broad penetration into a number of our strategic channel partners, together with its investmenty in creating the necessary infrastructure to support current and future resellers, will drive significant incremental growth for us in core markets," he said.

SDG Retail and Data Capture division director Rob Tomlin added that the agreement would enable resellers to capitalise on demand for "comprehensive solution[s] from initial enquiry through to service delivery".
