Resellers looking to move into managed services have been advised to think carefully about their choice of monitoring tools.
Managed Service Providers (MSPs) have described the monitoring tool as key to ensuring that they can see what is happening with customers and meet the service level agreements they have signed up to.
At a recent Level Platforms MSP roadshow the assembled resellers on a panel of experts all agreed that good monitoring was the key to delivering a solid service to customers.
Against the backdrop of the launch of its latest monitoring tool Opsview CEO Michael Walton added his voice to those putting great weight on the technology.
"In today's IT world organisations need to be able to effectively monitor their physical, virtual and hybrid cloud environments. IT resources offered on-demand are no longer key differentiators for managed service providers (MSPs)," he said.
"It will be the service providers that can offer customised services with guaranteed SLAs that will see the biggest growth in the future. As such being able to deliver fully-featured, scalable and cost-effective monitoring can play a vital role in setting individual service providers apart from their competitors," he added.
