Mozy sticks Union Jack on VAR programme

EMC-owned online backup specialist Mozy has unveiled a UK-specific version of its partner programme, with a Sterling price list and country specific lead generation and allocation at its core.

Although it has been happily inducting British partners into its existing programme since 2008, the firm said that increasing demand for backup in the UK as cloud adoption goes into overdrive had spurred it to produce a localised version.

"There's never been a better time to sell online backup in the UK," said Mozy sales boss Daragh Donohoe.

"[This] represents an excellent opportunity for resellers to generate recurring revenues whilst, at the same time, building trusted-advisor relationships with customers by saving the day when things go wrong and data is lost."

The triple-tiered programme, based on accreditation, will include branded marketing collateral for UK audiences and access to Mozy's marketing development fund.

It will cover both SMB and enterprise versions of Mozy's products, including associated mobile apps for Android and iOS, which are also available through EMC's partner programme.
