Oracle watchers will have to start following Larry Ellison's twitter stream to get an insight into what direction the vendor is going in as the CEO of the software giant plans to use his account to reveal its cloud strategy.
Ellison has revealed that his first tweet will go out early next month to announce the launch of a cloud suite of products, bringing the vendor quickly into line with its main competitor SAP.
SAP and Oracle have both lagged behind cloud pioneer Salesforce.com but are looking to rectify that with a concerted push into the hosted environment this year.
Ellison's tweet should go out around 6 June as he has an event scheduled that day with customers and analysts where the cloud suite and strategy should be unveiled.
