Trustmarque to deploy Splunk

Infrastructure and software solutions VAR Trustmarque, has signed a reseller agreement with Splunk operational intelligence software provider Splunk to augment its data services proposition, writes Linda Endersby.

Rob Newburn, Trustmarque head of information security and managed services said: "Splunk's applications in compliance, networks and data security are very complementary to what we do. Splunk provides disruptive technology, has great pedigree, a loyal user base, and are leaders in the field of operational intelligence."

He added: "They are also gaining great traction in the market following Splunk's recent IPO and we see great potential with the software in our customer base."

Trustmarque's Information Security Group will provide customers with technical deployment, maintenance and support for Splunk's software for collecting, indexing and harnessing machine data - Splunk Enterprise 4.3 and the Splunk App for Enterprise Security 2.0.

The two products when paired deliver a next-generation security solution for monitoring unknown threats, support and analysis. Most customers report a reduction in incident investigation times, lowering incident response costs, and reducing risk as attack windows are shortened.

"We are pleased to have signed up Trustmarque as a channel partner in the UK," said Jason Phelps, Splunk EMEA sales director. "Trustmarque works with a number of highly regulated organisations that have a requirement to process huge volumes of data in real-time - particularly in key vertical markets such as government, retail, finance and telecoms. Trustmarque is very strong in these sectors and will be a great route to market for us."

The firm will provide technical services, consultancy, training, maintenance and support to its customers looking to deploy Splunk.
