Security distributor Vigil Software has revealed it has continued to increase its revenues and grown its headcount as it continues to focus on bringing fresh vendors to the UK market.
A strategy of developing the market for emerging vendors, concentrating on security compliance has recently expanded to include some larger established vendors looking to expand their distribution roster.
The distributor revealed that revenue had climbed by 40% in the last financial year helped by strong demand for security solutions that helped firms keep on the right side of compliance regulations.
Some of the vendor's that fit into that category include Egress, SecurEnvoy and Ultra Electronics AEP and have helped the channel player bolster its staff by 30%.
Murray Pearce, director of Vigil Software, said that it had grown for several years but it was wary of straying off its current path: "We are very guarded about it because bigger isn't better."
He added that it had been lucky with the way the chips had fallen in the consolidation stakes and it had kept some key vendor relationships despite the mergers and acquisitions that feature so heavily in the industry.
