SAP turns to old hand Noble to fill MD role

Tim Noble has returned to take up the UK managing director role at SAP after a break of just shy of a year to fill in a six month old vacancy

Tim Noble has returned to head up SAP UK and Ireland after his replacement in the role decided to exit the position after less than a year.

Noble moved to an emerging markets role last summer and was replaced by Steve Winter, who was chief operating officer of SAP North America.

Winter lasted just six months before stepping down and the position has been covered on an intern basis but now will be handled by Noble, who was UK managing director between 2009 and last summer.

Noble will continue to carry out his EMEA emerging markets role alongside the UK position and has the advantage of knowing the business.

The announcement about the change in management came against a backdrop of the vendor's preliminary second quarter revenue figures, which showed that software revenues are on the rise by 19%.
