Just a few weeks after appointing a group business operations director to oversee integrating its acquisitions Six Degrees has added to the workload by picking up Cloud Computing Centre.
The deal to buy the Surrey-based managed cloud hosting firm comes on the back of a very busy year so far, which has included buying managed hosting providers Ultraspeed, Firstserv and Serverstream, and datacentre connection specialist Datahop.
Last month former PacketExchange COO Mike Ing was appointed to the newly-created role of group business operations director with a brief to oversee the integration of its recent acquisitions and can now add CCC to that list.
CCC comes with a mid-market pedigree and has a customer base that tops 100 who spend on average £36,000 a year for their managed cloud services.
At the same time as revealing the latest acquisition Six Degrees has also secured £8m in new funding from Penta Capital.
"This is a significant acquisition for us as it reinforces our mid-market focus, strengthens our managed cloud hosting team and brings outstanding technical capabilities to the Group," said Alastair Mills. CEO of Six Degrees.
Keith Bates, CEO of CCC, said he felt the time was right for the firm to join forces with a larger outfit and it would be in a stronger position yo grow its mid-market business.
