intY looks for channel growth post acquisition

Following its acquisition by Weather the cloud specialist intY is looking to grow the number of resellers it works with in the channel

Cloud specialist intY is looking to work with a greater number of channel partners following its acquisition by Weather.

The Bristol-based firm has been steadily growing its channel business, it provides resellers with the cloud infrastructure they can sell onto customers, but is now aiming to grow significantly under new ownership.

Weather picked up intY late last month with plans to use the Cascade platform to help its own business, based largely in the telco and service provider sector, and revealed plans to grow the presence of its new acquisition in EMEA.

Mark Herbert, business development director and founder of intY, said that it had already got relationships with a number of smaller resellers but now wanted to recruit larger partners and look at what it could do with the distribution channel.

"This has launched us on a global stage and Weather brands are all big international names so this does do a lot for the credibility and we can play a much higher game," he said.

He added that it was still early stages in the cloud business, "and there are no rules", but it had already established itself as a company that understood the technology and was already working with the channel.
