VMworld Europe: Tintri signs Arrow ECS in EMEA

VM-aware storage platform specialist Tintri has announced the signing of a pan-European distribution contract with Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions (ECS) at VMworld Europe 2012 in Barcelona.

The appointment of Arrow is the second distribution appointment the firm has made since expanding into Europe and appointing ex-Riverbed man Marcus Chambers in August 2012. It already works with UK VAD Zycko.

Chambers said: “We’ve invested heavily in the European market since day one and we’re thrilled to see our efforts pay off in the form of this significant partnership.

“Arrow ECS will open the door to a number of new opportunities for us and we welcome the chance it provides to expand the market for VM-aware storage,” he added.

The firm has also recently unveiled the Tintri Lightning Partner Programme, offering the usual perks around reseller support and business development to help the channel target businesses where virtualisation projects have stalled thanks to high storage costs.

Arrow ECS EMEA sales VP Jesper Trolle said that the firm saw Tintri as a worthwhile addition to its virtualisation ecosystem, thanks to its work with Citrix and VMware.

“Tintri has developed an impressive product and we believe it will be well-received by customers seeking to broaden their virtual deployments,” said Trolle.
