Xerox has launched a new line of reusable cartridges designed to work with OEM desktop laser printers from its rivals.

channelThe vendor claims its Responsible line, which it is pitching squarely at the managed print services (MPS) market, can be used in printing hardware from Brother, Canon, Epson, HP, Konica Minolta, Kyocera and Lexmark, among others.

Xerox reckons the lines could save MPS providers managing large fleets of document devices could realise substantial savings of nearly 50% compared to OEM cartridges.

“The cartridges are manufactured using the same high-quality standards Xerox uses for all its products. With our brand behind [them], users can be confident of superior performance,” said Patrick de Jong, European business manager at Xerox Document Supplies Europe.

The firm added that the lines were subjected to an ISO 9001-certified remanufacturing process to ensure their long-term performance lived up to user expectations, and is backing this up with a two-year guarantee.
