Canon has extended its channel programme to increase the support it provides for those resellers selling managed print services (MPS).
The vendor has taken the decision to formalise an accreditation around MPS skills adding the specialism to its the options in its existing partner programme.
Those opting for the scheme will be given access to training and support to ensure they can get the skills needed to land the accreditation status.
Five resellers across Europe are going through an accreditation audit with the aim of becoming the first flag carriers for the scheme.
To get accredited isn't just about having the skilled staff but also demonstrating a business model that will support managed services.
Marc Bory, director, MPS and solution sales at Canon Europe, said that it was important to give resellers managed services options to present to customers, particularly given the ongoing tough financial climate.
