VCOMM UK managing director Scott Dobson has left to start up Cloud Distribution, specialising in securing and optimising remote and mobile end points.
He remains a shareholder in VCOMM UK, which he co-founded in 2004 but was "not at liberty" to reveal the reasons for his departure at this point.
"We are launching a portfolio of virtual and hosted security and optimised solutions for remote, branch and mobile devices," he told MicroScope.
The virtualised and hosted security solutions will be subscription based and Dobson reckoned that in the current climate, businesses were most interested in pay-as-you-go services.
The Newbury-based business launches next week and is backed by private equity investors.
