Trustmarque appoints new CEO

Software licensing specialist Trustmarque Solutions has appointed Scott Haddow as its new CEO and charged him with boosting its bottom line and improving profitability at the Yorkshire-based Microsoft partner.

Haddow replaces Ross Miller who relinquished the helm last November, and joins Trustmarque from IT training solutions provider New Horizons. He has also done time with Computacenter, where he led the firm's Scottish operation for eight years.

"Trustmarque has been a strong performer in the last year but no company can afford to stands still, especially in today's economic climate. My task will be to think about how Trustmarque can improve and develop its services in order to deliver more value to its customers," Haddow said.

Miller departed amidst rumours that he had fallen out with Trustmarque's venture capital backers, who had decided the LAR was not making fast enough returns. However, the firm's 2008 results to the end of August, posted in November, showed a 12% growth in pre-tax profits to £4.68m.
