Mitel has formally launched a revamped version of its financing programme designed to allow its resellers to offer complete communications managed services to their customers at a significantly lower cost of ownership.
The new Total Solutions programme is pitched at business of all sizes, and having recognised that SMBs are suffering especially hard during the downturn, it also includes several introductory features for businesses with up to 64 users, according to Mitel UK sales director Enda Kenneally.
The programme will enable customers to avoid up-front capex and benefit from a single managed service bill covering SLAs, line costs and professional services, among other things.
"It gives channels the opportunity to retain customers and increase the value of every order by consolidating the client's total communications solution into a single contract," Kenneally said.
Speaking to MicroScope, Kenneally revealed that the programme had already produced some notable results at the pilot stage. She said: "It is really hard to tell if some of these projects would even have gone ahead in the current climate without the programme."
According to Kenneally three or four major deals in the last month alone had shifted over £1m worth of Mitel gear through the channel.
Note that Mitel's current financial quarter closes at the end of this week. Prelims are not available but early indications are that the vendor expects to have grown its sales somewhere in the region of 10% over the past three months.
