AlgoSec looks for channel expansion in 2013

Security player AlgoSec has revealed plans to appoint a distributor in the next six months and double its reseller base next year.

The network security policy management specialist revealed the plans as it appointed Bytes Security Partnerships as a gold partner.

The vendor now has five gold partners in the UK, having grown that base over the last couple of years and is now looking for further growth with the addition of a distributor and more resellers.

“In 2011 we saw 95% year-on-year sales growth and that trend is continuing, thanks to our partners – which is why it’s vital that we continue to grow our channel," said Paul Clark, AlgoSec's regional director for the UK & Ireland.

He added that its solution provided an answer resellers could pitch to help customers overcome their current security challenges.

"Corporate security estates are becoming ever more complex, which creates management headaches for IT teams and leads to weakened security due to misconfigurations and poor change management processes," he said.

John Gilbertson, joint managing director of Bytes Security Partnerships, said that it had signed up with the intention of using the network policy support as something that could complement its managed services offerings.
