Micro-P has been handed rights to distribute the full storage portfolio from Dell after being named the vendor's first value added distributor in the UK aimed at the enterprise market.
As part of the relationship the distributor, which already works with the
vendor, will handle the Equalogic and Compellent ranges and has a brief from Dell to grow the
vendor's channel business.
Micro-P will now be offering virtualisation, data recovery, backup and desktop infrastructure with the option to configure solutions for resellers, building on the experiences of its 'configure to order' server tool.
Phil Brown, commercial director at Micro-P, said the distributor had ambitions to grow its business in the enterprise space.
“This partnership with Dell enables us to expand and add expertise to the team to deliver
more support to our reseller community, increasing our pre-sales capabilities, customer training
and quick-quote turnaround. Additionally, our reseller community will have access to Dell’s
expertise and sales force," he said.
Bill O’Shea, UK Commercial Channel Director, Dell, said that Micro-P had put a great deal of effort
into the existing relationship and it had rewarded that effort by extending the product range it
could handle.
